Okay, it’s been a while since I’ve been here.  But I’ve got a good reason (honest!) for my absence and it’s one I’m hoping makes sense:

I’ve had nothing to say.

It’s true.  I’ve come to the page several times in the last few days, and every time I’ve started to type, I had to face the reality that I had nothing worth putting into print.  That happens from time to time.  I’d rather have weeks of no activity in this blog than pages of nonsense, anyway.

I’m at least happy to say that I’ve returned to the kitchen and hope to get some experimentation under my belt. I have between two and three dozen cookbooks at home, most are “vintage.”  Most, in fact, are reprints of historical cookbooks, and one of the things I’ve been wanting to do for a while now is to prepare a series of decent meals from them.  No clue as to which one (or ones) that I’ll test out, but I’m sure that I’ll figure out something.
